ok. tokyo the album is finished and awaiting mastering. then repro, and it should be ready to roll out of your player. i hope you enjoy the music, and if you do, please write to me and let me know what you think. even if you hate it, yea? any opinion is a good opinion, in my opinion.

and i guess i decided that 'tokyo' did cut it as a title (^_^)

the concept behind the new album is tokyo! on my trip there, i was able to write about 2 hours of loops (out of a 12 hour flight, so i was quite inefficient), but nevertheless, it was something. being there was an adventure. the people are incredible, friendly, and enthusiastic. the city is alive and breathing. it feels like home to me, and i really don't know why. the only other times i've felt quite as nostalgic about leaving a place are in vancouver and in helsinki.
in any case, it is wonderful. i wanted to try and capture some of the aura and energy of this tremendous city in music, and that prompted the forthcoming album.
i'd be curious if anyone could give me ideas on what to name it.
...and i've already decided that 'tokyo' will not cut it, nor any mention of the city in the title.
i'll think of a neat prize to the winner!
